The Statue of Liberty is in the port of NYC. It was inaugarated in 1886 by the President Grover Cleveland. It was a present of France to celebrate the centaury of the USA's Independence. The author of the project was Frédéric - Auguste Bartholdi. In the 3rd July of 1986, the Statue of Liberty was opened to everyone.
-In front of the Statue, there's the Castle Clinton National Monumennt.
-You can go by boat to see the Statue of Liberty. Also, you're going to see all Manhattan and New Jersey.
-The Statue of Liberty has 27 metres. Down the Statue, there's a platform of concrete.
There's a story that says that the mum of Bartholdi was de model of the Statue. The seven rays of the crowd represents the seven oceans and the seven continents.
The torch of the Statue is really new. It was bathed in gold in 1986.
