The American Museum of Natural History was inaugurated in 1869. It has 45 galleries. And 30 Milion of objects. Now, we are going to see the differents sections in the Museum!
1.- Dinosaurs and fossils: they have the biggest collection of dinosaurs in the world.
2 .- Mammals: containing natural size animals.
3 .- Life of the Ocean: there are a room dedicated to the ocean world. The Milstein Hall of Ocean.
4 .- Hall of Biodiversity: which opened in 1998 to promote the preservation of the planet.
5 .- Board of the Asian peoples: culture of the area.
6 .- Hall of African Peoples: life in Africa.
7 .- Chamber of meteorites, minerals and gems: contains the Star of India, the largest in the world sapphire.
8 .- Northwest Coast Indians: the life of the Indians in the state of Washington and Alaska.
9 .- human biology and evolution: the origins of man.
10 .- Birds of the World: a million birds in the world.
The Museum appears in the film "Night at the Museum".
